Singapore Stocks Update: Straits Times Rises 13.06 to 3637.88

Sep. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Singapore's benchmark stock index, the Straits Times Index, rose 0.36 percent at 9:05 a.m.

The index of 48 companies traded on the Stock Exchange of Singapore rose 13.06 to 3,637.88. Among the stocks in the index, 25 rose, 12 fell and 11 were unchanged.

Gains in the Straits Times Index were led by Keppel Corp Ltd, Cosco Corp Singapore Ltd and United Overseas Bank Ltd. About 111.06 million shares changed hands in Singapore.

Dbs Group Holdings Ltd, which rose 10 cents to S$21.00, was the most active stock by value in Singapore.

The next most-active issues were Sinostar Pec Holdings Ltd, which rose 20 cents to 58 cents, and Cosco Corp Singapore Ltd, which rose 25 cents to S$5.50.
