S&P 500 Leaders & Laggards

Shares of RadioShack Corp., an electronics retailer, helped lift the Standard & Poor's 500 index to a higher finish on Friday.

RadioShack rose $1.60, or 7.3 percent, to close at $23.66. In a client note, a Citigroup analyst said he believes the electronics retailer plans to sell video game software in stores in time for the holidays.

The S&P 500 Index rose 0.30 points to 1,484.25.

DR Horton Inc. rose along with other stocks in the housing sector, gaining 69 cents, or 5.1 percent, to $14.35.

Fellow homebuilder Centex Corp. rose $1.23, or 4.7 percent, to $27.37.

On the losing side, Cardinal Health Inc. lost $3.29, or 4.8 percent, to $64.67. The nation's second-largest drug and medical supplies distributor said moderating sales of prescription drugs mean its supply-chain pharmaceutical segment will now grow profit for the year between 7 percent and 10 percent, compared with an earlier forecast for growth at the top of this range.

Big Lots Inc. declined 93 cents, or 3 percent, to $29.65.

MeadWestvaco Corp. declined 94 cents, or 3 percent, to $30.26, reversing gains from Thursday when an analyst upgraded shares of the paper and packing company.(NEW YORK (AP) -
